This morning I wake up with a good mood and big smile. I started my day perfectly and followed the routine, did my dance practice. Everything was good. Then as soon as I switched on my laptop to write blog I realized that I don’t have a recipe to share with you guys. Yupp I was little panicked. But then I thought this is the right opportunity to talk about some things.

So let’s discuss about baking disasters. What are they? How they happen? How to prevent them? As we all know baking is science. How much you add, at what temperature you add, how old your ingredients are all that matters. All your ingredients should be at room temperature.

How to prevent them?
Preventing mistakes like these are not easy at least for me. Sometimes I bake a cake in so hurry that I forget to add baking powder or sometimes the baking powder I used is dead. If I over mix the batter the cake doesn’t rise well. Or if milk is not at room temperature the cake remains undercook from middle and perfectly cooked from sides.
To avoid these things I try few tips and tricks-
1. Sift your dry ingredients 2-3 times before using them to create air pockets.
2. Create a checklist of ingredients on your phone so you don’t forget anything while making the batter.
3. Check if your baking powder is still alive by mixing a pinch of it with 2-3 lemon drops.
4. Mix your batter only to remove lumps so that you don’t overmix it.
5. Always add dry ingredients to wet.
6. All ingredients should be at room temperature.
7. Measure your ingredients correctly.
8. Do not open your oven door again and again.
9. Chill your cookie dough before baking.
I hope these tricks will help you in your future baking. Happy baking and soon we’ll meet with a new recipe, till then bye bye.
